Rack Sense makes use of the latest
hardware technologies for provision of its services.
SERVERS
Our servers are based around high performance
Supermicro
chassis and server boards, combined with
24x7 rated hard drives
and
3ware
hardware RAID controllers for ultimate data integrity.
For Solaris
environments we use the latest generations of
Sun Opteron and UltraSPARC servers.
REMOTE MANAGEMENT
Remote management of servers is achieved using
APC Masterswitch
web reboot devices to enable power cycling of servers, monitoring
and remote administration is provided using serial consoles. We will
soon be enhancing this with KVM-over-IP solutions.
SECURITY
Server security is maintained through the use of hardware based
firewalls utilising iptables, ipf and pf filtering.
