RACK SENSE ADDS ABOVENET FOR NETWORK RESILIENCE
London, UK, 30 June 2005 - Rack Sense has announced new network upgrades
that add AboveNet to its existing connectivity with Level(3) offering full
multi-homed resilience.
Using the industry standard BGP routing technology, and combining the best of tier-1
worldwide networks from Level(3) and
AboveNet, has enabled Rack Sense to
offer full network failover and resilience for its clients.
In the event of a network provider outage or scheduled maintenance window, traffic will
be seamlessly re-routed over the other providers network.
These upgrades follow already exceptional uptime where availability has often attained
100% month on month, and no less than 99.97% since October 20031.
Further upgrades to follow later in the year will add additional network connectivity
providers and peering at all major UK internet exchange points - further enhancing
network performance and resilience.
